The biggest beer festival of the world celebrates 200 years in 2010

In 2010, from the 18th September to the 03rd October, the capital of Munich celebrates a special jubilee: „ 200 years of Octoberfest “. In addition, a programme of events which appreciates the Wiesn jubilee with highlights from art, culture and tradition.

Dim lights Embed Embed this video on your site Already from the 09th July to the 31st October, 2010 leaves the exhibition „The Octoberfest in 1810 – 2010 “ and inform you about all stuff of this old festival. All objects which are shown had been involved in the 200-year-old history in the events on the festival meadow – among other things the wedding dress of princess Therese, the guillotine of the Schichtl, public figure's dirndl, carousel organs or roller coaster models; in addition there come seldom shown paintings, graphic arts, photographs and films.
